I grew up in Sydney and was fortunate as a young teenager to live and attend school in Japan for years 8 and 9. I completed a Bachelor of Arts Asian Studies degree (majors Economics and Japanese) at the University of New South Wales. After working in the banking industry for a couple of years I decided it was time to see the wide world and headed to London for a year. Many great adventures and soul finding experiences were had as I travelled through Europe.
On returning to Australia I decided to follow my life dream of becoming a veterinarian and enrolled at Sydney University. I completed the course while working as an ambulance driver for the RSPCA and a check-out operator for Officeworks (nothing like a bit of diversity).
Upon graduating I took a job in the outer west in Sydney for four years. I then followed my lovely fiancé, Nathan, down to Canberra and started working with the wonderful team here at Gungahlin Veterinary Hospital. Since then I haven’t looked back.
I have a keen interested in everything feline, especially behaviour and medicine. I also, as an aside, like rats!
