- Position
- Trainee Veterinary Nurse
- Been with GVH since
- March, 2011
I joined the GVH team in February 2011 initially as a hospital assistant and have since progressed to being a Vet Nurse Trainee. My main responsibilities are to assist the Vets and Nurses within the Hospital. Daily tasks vary from assisting in surgery and monitoring anaesthetics, to post operative and general medical care.I am also enjoying teaching Puppy Pre-school classes.
I plan to study for my Vet Nurse qualifications next year and hope to qualify in 2013. I am very effervescent and passionate about working at the GVH. Since my arrival, the team have made me very welcome and have given me opportunities to develop my nursing skills in a professional, caring environment.
I have 3 dogs;
* Rocky the boxer who will always be the baby with his silly antics.
* Ally is our 15 yr old Kelpie who is still energetic, regardless of being deaf and blind and loyal to the family.
* William (little Willy) the Jack Russell. Typically energetic but a mummy's boy.
(Rocky and Willy always getting up to mischief together..)
2 cats:
* Hummer the Russian blue who can be vocal and smoochy on his own terms.
* Spider, a black, overly confident oriental who thinks he is a dog and needs to be perched on your shoulder whenever you sit still.
All of my animals live in harmony and never fight.
Out of work I am a self-confessed shopaholic, who is always out and about socialising with friends. I also love to spend quality time on the farm with my family.
