ASAVA 'Hospital of Excellence' Accreditation

Dog with bandage.

Once every three years, Gungahlin Veterinary Hospital applies to the Australian Small Animal Verterinary Association (ASAVH) to maintain our accrediation as a 'Hospital of Excellence'.  This gruelling process requires all staff to help, as the hospital is spruced up, double checked, and many, many, many supporting documents are prepared.  These documents cover everything from Surgical Histories and Imaging techniques, to the Vets' and Nurses' Continuing Education, and the Emergency and Housekeeping Policies, just to name a few.

All of October 2011 the Staff at Gungahlin Vet Hospital have been working hard to prepare for this accreditation process, and our application documentation (12cm thick) was completed yesterday, 27th October, just in time to send to the ASAVA.  We are relieved that this important step has been acheived and look forward to the rest of the process, in the hope of maintaining our distinction as a 'Hospital of Excellence'.
